Home - LCUDL
This WIKI is dedicated to the Michigan-based Learning Community for Universal Design for Learning (LCUDL). Referent group members are encouraged to add content. As with the co-laboratory, it is expected that participants will honor and respect the viewpoints of others.

The purposes for the LCUDL are:
1) To create a shared understanding of the factors that the Referent Team must address to make progress in designing an ideal model for a Learning Community for Universal Design for Learning

2) To build commitment to an action agenda for collaboratively addressing the "system of barriers," especially the root cause barriers; and

3) To forge a community of ambassadors which will embrace the variety of actors required in implementing the agenda for developing the LCUDL in Michigan schools. Learning Community for Universal Design for Learning - Session 1

The definition of Learning Community is: A carefully structured collaborative learning team at the local level, which is dedicated to student success by utilizing effective Teaching-for-Learning practices which include UDL, where teachers and administrators engage in frequent, continuous, and increasingly disciplined and authentic dialogue that leads to changed practice.

Hope you find this medium helpful for communication and interaction for the design and development of the LCUDL for Michigan schools.

This was such an amazing process. I'm still trying to sort out all the ins and outs of the many thought provoking conversations. Aleco, you really are the master.
Thanks Jeff for all of the work you put into gathering such a wonderful group of good thinkers. This project will be successful, thanks to you!
